Our Journey

NeoNight Nursing was founded to fill the need for a more holistic and family-focused approach to your newborn journey. We came together to support families once they are discharged home from hospital.

Registered Nurses

LAURA RN

NeoNight's Founder Laura became a Registered Nurse in 2015. She had an immediate interest in nursing in the NICU that carried her passion from Alberta back to Saskatoon where she has over 10 years of experience working with families and babies. Laura has a passion for teaching, education and evidence driven practice and has found some of her greatest joys and achievements in providing care to families in fragile circumstances. In 2020 Laura welcomed her son at 32 weeks gestation and was able to experience nursing care from the other side. After having children Laura began to understand the stark difference in support between newborn care in hospital and support once home. To bridge this gap she decided to create NeoNight Nursing.

HANNA RN

Hanna grew up in small town Saskatchewan where access to specialized health care was limited. From an early age she knew she wanted to pursue a career where she could make a difference in people's lives. She went straight from high school to nursing school where she found she could shine a little light on some of family's most vulnerable moments. Hanna finished her final practicum in the NICU where she quickly developed a passion for caring for the tiniest patients and their families. Throughout her career she has learned that nursing is so much more than medical care; it's about providing comfort, hope, strength, and reassurance when people need it the most.

MIKAYLA

Mikayla graduated from nursing school in 2016 and has had the privilege of caring for people across the lifespan. She began her nursing career in palliative care and later found her true passion in the NICU. After nearly a decade of caring for tiny babies and supporting their families through some of the most vulnerable moments, she’s excited to bring that experience into the home. Being a mom herself, she knows firsthand how magical, exhausting, and overwhelming those first days and months can be—and she’s here to be a source of support as you navigate those early days! Mikayla’s goal is to make your nights a little easier and your days a little more manageable by providing compassionate care, tailored guidance backed by years of newborn experience and evidence informed care, and an extra set of hands when you need them most. Because a rested mama is a happier mama—and you deserve to thrive, not just survive the newborn stage!
